In this tutorial you will learn how to do object linking and embedding through excel. By object linking you can link the data of microsoft excel with other application like microsoft word. You update data in microsoft excel and you need to update it in linked application like microsoft word so by embedding you do not to update the data in microsoft word. It is very useful when you want two formats of your data and no need to update both copies because you need to change in excel only and data in word automatically changed.

Create simple the sheet having record of the items same like as following worksheet of excel.
You need to also save in microsoft word so select the data that you want to keep in MS word like as following.
Now click on home menu and visit clipboard panel same like as following.
After clicking on copy menu the selection be copied for the paste. After click on copy appearance of sheet be as like following.
Click on home menu of microsoft word and visit clipboard panel same as like following sheet.
Click dropdown on paste and select paste special same as following.
Paste special dialog box appear after clicking on the paste special option same as following sheet of excel.
Click on OK button and the copied data of excel pasted in the microsoft word same as following sheet.
Now data is copied but not linked because paste link is not marked in paste special dialog box. So in paste special dialog box click on paste link like as following sheet.
Click on OK button then object linking and embedding done. Word document appear same like as following sheet.
Now change the value of C4 in excel like as following.
After type the new value press enter and then see the word document the data is also change in microsoft word same like as following sheet.
