In the previous tutorial you saw how to change the font and font size in Microsoft Excel. In this lesson, you will see how to change the color of a cell.
Change the Background Color of a Cell:
To change the background color of cells, you first have to highlight the ones you want to alter. We’ll start with the cells C1 to C4. So highlight these cells on your spreadsheet like this:
With the cells C1 to C4 highlighted, locate the Font panel on the Ribbon at the top of the Excel to change the background color of the cell:
Find the paint bucket in font panel, and click the black down arrow. You will see some colors appear. When you move your mouse on every color, you will see that the background color of the cell will be automatically changes.
Select the color which you want to change for your selected cells. The figure shown that background color changed of the selected cells C1 to C4.
Change the Text Color:
To change the color of the text, select the cell to change the color and click right down arrow just the right of the letter A. When you move your mouse on each color in letter A, the color of the text in selected cells will be automatically changes.
Select the color which you want to change for your selected cells C2 to C4. The figure shown that color of the text in cells C2 to C4 has been changed.
